Sir Raven goes to his table in the throne room and finds a letter and a rose from his absent maiden. He looks at the rose and admire its beauty, but the pain that seemed to dog his every step inserted itself into his heart, he throws the rose and the letter into the blazing fire...
He shakes her head in complete defeat. He would rather have been injured in battle, then to have lost his maiden. Feeling empty inside, and just wishes that this calamity wasn't true, and thinking that she was dreaming. Picks up his dagger, and cuts himself, and her blood runs. "Yep, I'm awake!"
While applying a healing ointment, he wraps his hand and goes to bed and releases his grief and surrenders himself to his sleeping Goddess.
